7 Killer Hair Looks at Coachella Weekend 1

The music wasn’t the only thing making noise in Indio this year. From glam transformations to nostalgic throwbacks, Coachella 2025's first weekend did not disappoint in serving up a visual feast of  hair moments.

Here are the standout celebrity styles from Week 1 that had us zooming in, saving to mood boards, and sprinting to our stylists.

Lady Gaga’s Severe Metamorphosis Hair

When Gaga steps on a stage, she gives more than music — she gives a full beauty production. For her two-act headline performance, she opened in a dramatic, razor-sharp black bob with a precise blunt fringe. Her hair artist, celebrity stylist Frederic Aspiras, called it “a visual ode to duality,” and honestly it stole the show.

Jessie Murph's Priscilla Presley Bouffant

The vocal superstar made her Coachella debut on the Mojave Stage delivering an energetic blend of pop, hip-hop, country, and even cheer acrobatics with her locks in a tall, exaggerated black bouffant and Bumpit that would've put the OG exaggerated-bouffant queen (aka Elvis' little lady) to shame.

Tyla’s Royal Braid Crown

South African superstar Tyla brought her A-game with a perfectly sculpted braided look that married tradition with editorial edge. Intricate cornrows wove into a voluminous braided bun, adorned with gold thread that shimmered under the Coachella lights. Malcolm Marquez is the mastermind of this regal, rooted, runway-worthy hairstyle.

Clairo’s 70s Bangs

Clairo kept it cool in the desert heat with air-dried texture and soft throwback fringe. Hairstylist Ericka Verrett kept the look touchable and fresh using dry shampoo and minimal product. The takeaway? Less is more — especially when paired with peachy tones and a sun-kissed vibe.

Marina's Marie Antoinette Updo

The Cuntissimo singer ate ... cake? ... with her blonde hair piled up, up, up in a riot of curls reminiscent of a certain (pre-guillotine) French queen, created by celebrity stylist Gregg Lennon Jr

Charli XCX's Hyper-Feminine Sleekness

The Brat singer's mega-long, mega-glossy locks were the embodiment of early-2000s minimalism, but elevated. The dark, piecey locks gave major pop-princess energy with runway polish. It was simple, chic, and striking: a go-to reference for anyone seeking a statement without fuss.

Paris Hilton’s Butterfly Comeback

Only Coachella royalty Paris could make a butterfly clip moment feel like a red-carpet reveal. Her signature platinum waves, styled to soft perfection, were topped with shimmering Y2K-era butterfly accents that brought playful nostalgia full circle.

But this wasn’t just a cute throwback — it was a heartfelt tribute to designer Hana O’Connor, whose boutique was lost to the L.A. wildfires earlier this yeat. Fashion with a message? We’re all in.
